How many Russells does it take to get lost in Venice?

Finding a way around Venice does my head in.  We are staying in the university district which I am unfamiliar with.  Still, it is a beautiful way to get lost  (and you can always find your way to the train station or St Mark's)
Near our hotel

Lots of steps up bridges etc, so one of these would be good.

Last night we went and ate at Tres Archi where young Alex was serenaded (stalked?) by the accordion player.  I had scallopa.  As a Tasmanian I have to say they were overcooked, but the sauce was delicious.  I would have licked theplate if ther wasn't bread to wipe it up with.  (I have given up setting a good example for Connor btw, when you share some small rooms there are few secrets left - eg how many ends you snore from)
Still there, still a pest

Today I went to the Peggy Guggenheim and the Celinni Palace art collections.  I am not really interested in cubism etc etc butthere was a visiting exhibition I very much enjoyed.

The Celinni collection was much more to my liking.

Connor seems to have decided he wants a Hardrock Cafe sweatshirt.  He doesn't want much bless him.  It is near the Rialto bridge which he hasn't seen yet.  That will be a nice outing/adventure/getting lost.

Tomorrow we make our way south with a four hour stop in Bologna so Connor can have  pasta Bolognese, and also so we can fit our timing in with the others.

Won't be much to blog on for the twoweeks in the villa, all my budget and more is spent on the villa so not going anywhere much. Would like to go to Urbino and/or San Marino if can manage.
