The Danish are a very tall and good looking people. Others appear quite tiny in comparison.
Today we went to a church with a big tower that Connor climbed. It has a spiral staircase around the spire. I decided to stay down the bottom to give him someone to look for when he was way way way up there.
After that we went to Christiana, a major tourist attraction. I had met to nice ladies from NZand Britain while Connor was climbing. They were persuaded to come with us.
Christiana is a freetown or commune in Copenhagen. Kind of a lawless town with a hippy vibe. Not to mention a hippy odour.
Someone was being violently evicted as we arrived in the main section. You could not tell who was homeless and who was a resident. The ladies left quite quickly.
Still, it was an interesting reminder of 1970s Nimbin in the middle of Copenhagen and looked like it could be a fun destination later in the day when hoardes of tourists were there, and the hangovers of the people had waned.
Complete contrast after that, Amelienborg Palace where there are four almost identical palaces. In the queens library I avoided photographing the walnut bookcases so I could get a picture of someone we all know and love in the cute blue shoes we all had to wear. Then the little mermaid.
Where's Wally 1
I forgot to mention the beautiful walk to start the day through nice suburban streets near the centre of town, up over a lake and a hill and along quiet streets.
